Tucker and Dale vs Evil: Review

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is a rarity in film anymore.  This movie is so fun that it really has put pretty much every horror movie I have seen in recent memories to shame, and I'm no even 100% sure I would call it a horror movie.  The movie really depicts our two heroes (Tucker and Dale) as they set out to go fishing, come across a bunch of kids skinny dipping and help a girl that knocked her self out falling off some rocks.  As the movie progresses, the injured girls buddies assume that she has been kidnapped by the two hillbillies in the swamp and take it upon themselves to "rescue" their friend in distress.  These kids are not very good at playing hero and what ensues is a series of unfortunate events drenched in the blood of stupid teenagers in some of the most comical dismemberment I have seen in quite some time.  The style of the movie has a very dirty gritty feel to it, it reminded me a lot Evil Dead 2, just had that home made fun gore feeling where it doesn't really scare you and you just want more every second of the movie.  This is a great "after the bar" type of movie, it doesn't over think itself and as a result the audience doesn't need to over think either.  Tucker and Dale is exactly what a gore/genre flick should be a story to switch off and enjoy with a few brews and a smile on your face.  I highly recommend Tucker and Dale vs Evil to anyone who enjoys a movie with friends, by themselves or just looking to have a great time and laugh for an hour and a half of gore and micro-chaos.  Cheers.
