Mid Season Thoughts On The Walking Ded

I'm just gonna put it out there, so far I have been somewhat let down with this season of The Walking Dead.  It's a damn shame because last year when the show was on I was looking forward to an hour of zombie survival just as much as my weekly romp with America's favorite serial killer.  This year it seems like we barely fucking see any fucking zombies!  Instead we have had about 6 boring episodes full of character development and over sympathetic and possibly delusional Rick.  The first season was great, it kept us on the edge of our seats while the characters were constantly being pushed up against the wall and barely surviving.  This season its been all wandering through the woods looking for Sophia who had wandered off (I'm starting to hope she comes back, but hanging from the jaws of  a zombie.) and drama of Carl getting shot with minimal zombie interaction in between, to the extent that I'm starting to feel like the characters might be safe on this little farm house.   Each week the lead in makes me think that its going to be the episode where it picks up and so far its been a more far from that.  I still have faith in the show, and still think they will turn it around, but I hope its sooner than later.
